MotoTireUSA is an official Missouri State Motorcycle Inspection Station.

Cost: $12

Please note that appointments for state inspections cannot be made due to state regulations. Inspections are completed in the order of arrival, in between other service commitments.

State inspections are required only if your vehicle is:

  • Older than 10 years
  • Has over 100,000 miles

Before You Come In:

  • Check your lights: Ensure your main headlight beam and other lights are functioning properly.
  • Test your horn: Make sure it is operational.
  • Tread wear: Check for worn tread at any point where there is no tread design across half of the tire tread.
  • Cord Exposure: Check for exposed cored, bulges, or knots.
  • Cuts/Cracking: Check for cuts or cracking in the tire this could also be a sign for OLD TIRES. (Tires over 10 years old may not pass inspection due to safety concerns. Look for the date code on your tires (e.g., "4722" indicates the 47th week of 2022). Consider replacing old tires to ensure safety.)
  • Tread separation: Check for tread separation.
  • Wheel and rim condition: Check wheel and rims for bends, cracks, and spokes broken.
  • Examine your fork seals: Leaking fork seals can compromise braking performance and safety.
  • Verify blinkers: If your vehicle was manufactured with blinkers, all four must be attached and working.
In addition to tires, a motorcycle safety inspection in Missouri also includes:
• Controls: Check the handlebars, levers, pedals, cables, hoses, and throttle.
• Lights and electronics: Check the battery, lights, turn signals, mirrors, and reflectors.
• Oil and fluids: Check fluid levels and look for leaks.
• Chassis: Inspect the chassis.
